Represent | Lawyer cannot represent his client in the court room | Advocate can represent his client in the court room |
Regulate | Bar Council of India can not regulate the conduct of lawyers. | On the other hand Bar Council of India regulate and controls the activities of Advocates. |
Experience | Lawyers did not have the court room experience and mostly have academic experience. | On the other hand Advocate have court experience and they can conduct cases effectively. |
Engagement | Lawyers can engage themselves in any other business or any professions. | On the hand Advocates will not engage themseleves in any other business or professions. But they can be sleeper partner in any firm or business. |
Academic Activities | Lawyers can be involved in any full time academic activities for example like in teaching.
