What is the need of VS Codium if we have VS Code?
If we want to get the full open-source MIT licensed VS Code with no telemetry tracking. We always have to download source code from repository and then build VS Code by our own.
And it is very difficult for most of users to build VS Cods from the source and to overcome this isse VS Codium comes into picture.
Now comes to VS Codium is a fully open-source version of the VS Code, without the constraints and tracking that come with Microsoft’s VS Code. The VS Codium team builds VS Code from the source and releases the builds for different platforms under the VS Codium name. | |
