| Can you define what are the Tags in Git?
When we say about the Tags in Git it is not so important but they are most robust feature in Git and GitHub. But when say about Git this will limits the feature to just mark as essential event or milestones in the project. But on another hand GitHub has extended this feature to the release versions of software.
AS of above definition we got idea that Tags might sound a little different as a concept. Tags in Git are refernce points in the Git history that denotes special events. It is not a rule to tag the releases. And we can tag any comment for any purpose we want. And in addition to that it is not matter how much time we spend on the project, any new member can look at the git log and identify unique points in the project's timeline through Git. For releases, GitHub provides another option. We can also tag in Git and push th same local tags to remote repository located in remote repository. | | |
