Node.js Assert Code
When we say about the Assert module there are bunch of facilities which are useful for the all assertion function. And assert modules provides a set of assertion functions to verifying invariants. And if the condition is true it will output nothing else an assertion error is given by the console.
And to use this assert module we use the below command:-
npm install assert
Note:-Here installation is optional step as Assert can be inbuilt Node.js module.
And to import module we use the below command:-
const assert = require("assert");
Node.js Assert Example:-Save the below code in file and save as AssertExample.js.
console.clear()
const assert = require('assert');
let a = 5;
let b = 6;
try {
// Checking condition
assert(a == b);
}
catch {
// Error output
console.log("----------Output-----------");
console.log(
`${a} is not equal to ${b}`);
}
And to run above AssertExample.js file use below code line.
node AssertExample.js
Example 2:-
Node.js example 2 to check try catch and error with assertion function and get the error while doing some code.
console.clear()
const assert = require('assert');
let x = 4;
let y = 5;
assert(x > y);
Once you run the above code in Node.js you will get the below error as you have not used try catch blocked.
